Wednesday Mar 24, 2021
Wednesday Mar 24, 2021
In the fifth edition of the 2021 MLB Preview Series, Jack is joined by Survivor: South Pacific second runner-up Albert Destrade (@ZeroVotes) and Jordan Morandini to preview what looks to be the league's most competitive division, the NL East. The Miami Marlins stunned the league last season when they won a playoff series. Will their 2020 success carry over into 2021 (0:00 - 15:00)? The Philadelphia Phillies' bullpen was historically awful in 2020; will their new additions to the pen help the Phillies turn a corner and get back to the postseason for the first time in a decade (15:00 - 35:10)? The Nationals took a step back in 2020 from their 2019 World Series run. With some new additions, they're hoping to make another strong push this season. Will they return to form, or get lost behind the other teams in the division (35:10 - 48:10)? The Braves held a 3-1 lead over the Dodgers in the 2020 NLCS. Did they do enough this winter to get over the hump and win an National League pennant (48:10 - 1:13:25)? The Mets, under new owner Steve Cohen made a lot of noise this winter. Can they, with the acquisitions of Francisco Lindor, Carlos Carrasco and Francisco Lindor, shed the organization's recent culture of losing and dysfunction (1:13:25 - END)? Featuring voicemail messages from Mike Picardi, Craig Bertagni, Matt Cardone and William Regert! Of course, this full episode is complete with in-depth analysis, over/under picks, win total projections, and much more! March Madness for Dummies with Zoe Jeffery
Tuesday Mar 16, 2021
Tuesday Mar 16, 2021
Not all who fill out NCAA Tournament brackets are college basketball junkies. In fact, year in and year out, casual fans that tend to not watch much college basketball prior to the Tournament are the ones that win their office pools. Jack wanted to find a non-college basketball fan to have on the show, and have them fill out their bracket on-air. He is joined by his cousin, Zoe Jeffery for that very purpose. Zoe, who hasn't watched a minute of college basketball this season, takes us through her bracket and explains how she arrives at the decisions she's come up with. At the end, Jack's sister Laura Vita chimes in and shares some of her casual college basketball fan thoughts. Join us for plenty of laughs along the way!

Longtime Toronto area sportscaster (and co-admin of one of the largest Blue Jays' Facebook groups) Barry Davis submitted a voicemail to the show, previewing the Blue Jays' season. We play the voicemail and react. Can the Blue Jays seriously contend for a division title? Are the Rays set to regress from their 2020 World Series run, or is Tampa Bay once again being overlooked? Did the Yankees properly address their pitching concerns this past winter? Will they finally get back to the World Series in 2020? Jack and JJ debate. What should Orioles and Red Sox fans be watching for this season? JJ and Jack also take a look at the division's top prospects expected to make an impact this season, including the no. 1 prospect in all of baseball, Rays' shortstop Wander Franco.
